Aww! Very cute idea. I read that you want constructive criticsm, so here's mine. My first suggestion would be if you have a dog, study it. Watch how the animal stands, where the joints are, and how it moves. When I first started drawing as a kid I traced drawings I liked. It helped me get the motion of the lines down (just don't claim them as your own).
My second suggestion would be better colored pencils. Prismacolor are by far my favorite, but if they're too expensive for you try Crayola. I will NOT use any other pencil than those two. That will give your coloring a smoother look. Your colored pencil strokes should go with the outline and color from the outside to the inside instead of diagonally or straight across like you did on the balloons and that makes a huge difference also.
